Based on statistics domestic violence is an increasingly serious problem that needs urgent intervention in Hungary as well. The aim of the project is to increase the awareness regarding violence against women and domestic violence among the members of the local community, to improve the social skills of the 13-18 year olds (family life basic training focusing especially on nonviolent communication and anger management), to inform women during workshops and consultations about how to avoid becoming a victim, to transfer information to teachers about the prevention of domestic violence by the means of a travelling exhibition, billboards, citylights, teaching boards, prevention short film and different types of flyers. By this project the organizers intend to reduce the incidence of domestic violence and strengthen the protection against this phenomenon among different target groups.
