Poor and Romani people living in disadvantaged villages in Heves county are legally excluded. They cannot interpret official letters, manage their cases, stand for their interests, rights. Many of them used legal assistance when it was available. The project's goal was to provide legal assistance for individuals and the community in 10 villages through taking part in the process of solving the problems; organizing and training local groups to represent their interests. The organization created activist groups in 10 villages involving mentors, who examined and solved 30 cases involving 120 people experiencing violation of law. The target groups were poor, Roma people, and indirectlythe local governments, authorities, communal services. The project was implemented in partnership with the Association for the Village of Szúcs, and other 9 NGOs.The outcomes are that poor, Roma people’s skills develop, they can manage their cases, stand for their rights against the violation of law and discrimination.
