The project’s goal was to create a multicultural community center involving Roma communities and actors in the disadvantaged Pétervására micro-region. It is to become a center of Roma tradition, history and records, but it also provides place for recent Roma cultural, community life. Target groups are local Roma communities in the micro-region, a long-term productive connection will be established with them. Activities focus on a Roma community center and the cooperation of communities, organizations. The former Roma house was renovated for the purposes of the center with these new functions. The project encourages the members of the association and other Roma stakeholders to collect local Roma records. Organizers hope that the Roma community center can bridge a gap in Heves county and the region by developing a Roma network which can take part in the developmets of the micro-region.
