Hevesaranyos is a village in Heves county (with 600 inhabitants, 35% Roma). There are many difficulties due to deep poverty and lack of cooperation. That’s why the organization intends to enlarge its capacity, organize a strong community with participation of the Roma, poor people, to represent their interests, take part in decision-making and cases. Their objectives were to involve most of the people into the project; increase their acceptance; create an outdoor community place. Results: the number of their members and relations increasesd; 25-30% of the population took part in the programs; most of the families use the community place. Impacts: the organization will strengthen and be the partner of the local self-government; it will be able to have voice in local cases, decisions; it will represent the interests of the community (especially Roma and poor people) better; there will be less conflicts. Target groups are the population of the village, decision-makers, self-government, for-profit and civic organizations.
