Based on Civil Radio the organizers develop a new community medium where important social issues and topics can be presented, thereby attracting a high number of visitors. In parallel with this will set up a community journalist team. The online medium enables civic and professional organizations to enter into a jointly edited public surface. This enhances the effectiveness of the activity of each organization and in the long run it will strengthen the controlling and advocacy power of the civil society. The target group of the project – beside the civic sector – are those who would like to act for a more balanced society, but do not know how to do it. The new medium supported by the Civil Radio is a collective intellectual center for these active citizens – with the aim to reach about half a million people with the assistance of at least 100 civic organizations. This could create such a strong community, which might reach a critical mass to gain control over the decision-makers.
