The Müszi+ project aimed at upgrading the cultural and community space located in the former Corvin department store and expanding it, in order to include new user groups and to provide a better service meeting their needs, while preserving the place’s democratic and community-led basis. By giving space to a broader range of initiatives, and by adding activities of social innovation to Müszi’s principally cultural profile, the project enhances Müszi’s economic and social sustainability, and helps accommodated organisations cooperate and create networks together. The Müszi+ program includes improving the management and financial models of the center, the model’s communication and dissemination, as well as the upgrading of itsincubation services. The process is helped by the foundation's participatory development expertise as well as the experiences of the "Civic City Project project by the Contemporary Architecture Center, and builds on the Müszi community’s inputs.
