The project aimed at drawing attention to violence against women in Pécs and also in other parts of the country. With the main messege of the media (photo and video) campaign - 'Real men don’t hurt women', 'Real men are not violent' - the football team of Pécs addressed both men and women fans to attract their attention to and raise their awareness of violence against women.
In Pécs and in the world of football there was a large media interest so the applicant could communicate this issue with help of sport and its partners, and will be able to run similar campaigns in the future, too. Football players as main characters of the campaign were attending an awareness raising training, photos and videos have been made and the footmall team and the applicant run a media campaign, too.
The objective was to reach primarily the football fans and citizens of Pécs, but thanks to a bigger media interest the campaign could reach more people then expected.
During the project a short film and poster campaign has been made with own webpage and facebook profile, printed T-shirts, organized press conferences, the topic appeared several times in the media. The applicant co-operated with PMFC football team and Nő az Esély Egyesület.
