Aim of our project is to introduce a new speciality in the Hungarian drug addictology. It is the health protection and rehabilitation of addicts living with disabilities. Our short-term aim is to share the experiences and knowledge of the project with partner institutions as accredited training.
We choose as our target audience the people living with disabilities in the 4th district in Budapest. We focus on the personal contact. The number of 'Mozgássérültek Budapesti Egyesülete Újpesti Szervezet' is 537 persons. This organization is an Association in Budapest for disabled people in the Ujpest district. It is very close to our office.
The disabled people and they local area are also part of our target audience just like the public institutions where they should go and the services what they use. If those places would be easier reachable for disabled they would use them more often.
Our main activities are: to train competent colleagues, to organize local forums, activities and conferences. We would like to make an influence on the local people. We would like to force to have more reachable areas around for disabled people so they could use them just like people without any handicap.
We would like to help for each person and for they families to live full life without feeling guilty in the everyday life.
